Dr. Erin Hunt is one of the most caring doctors I have had the pleasure of having. I found her online and when I called to make an appointment I spoke with her personally. Anytime I am needing any kind of care whether it be medical concerns or a prescription she is there almost immediately picking up the phone via call or text. She does not rush you in and out, or make you wait. Seriously not a typical doctor, she is an amazing woman.

Dr. Hunt is a genuinely understanding and insightful doctor who works to get you the best outcomes while recognizing and honoring the practicalities of your life. I find it refreshing that she will personally work with you via text or over the phone. She removes some of the structural barriers between people and healthcare; her accessibility makes it so much easier to determine if a concern should be looked into or if it can be mitigated without having to schedule an entire appointment. There have been several occasions when I was wondering “is this something I should be worried about?” Or “I am considering X for these benefits, but I have concern about Y risks.” Since I can contact Dr. Hunt directly, we were able to answer my questions and find implementable ways to guard against risks without having to schedule a visit or leave home! Her perspective of accessibility saved a ton of time and hassle! She also very clearly considers you a whole person. She gives targeted and individualized care, asking about your lifestyle, your interests, and understanding whether a things will work for you. I’ve noticed that she regularly asks what I think when I meet with her, checking if what she is suggesting aligns with my experience or will fit into my routine/mental bandwidth. She aims to really “get me” as a multifaceted person and not just a number. I really appreciate it; her efforts make it so that I am comfortable voicing any concerns and that we can arrive at practical, implementable solutions that fit my circumstances. Several months after my most recent appointment, she sent me a birthday card and even wished me luck on a big project I had mentioned! With her relationship-focused approach instead of a distant, one-size-fits-all perspective, Dr. Hunt helps me fit health into my life. She is excellent!

Dr. Hunt is truly the kindest and most compassionate doctor I have ever seen!! Each visit I feel heard and I feel hopeful, something I have not experienced in a very long time. She really cares, and it shows. She wants what’s best for the patients. I feel SO VERY luck to have found her!! 10/10!!

I recently had my first appointment with Dr. Hunt and need to tell the world about how amazing my experience was. To start with, she answered the phone when I called to schedule. I got an appointment for the following week and it was a seamless process. So much better than going through automated phone trees and outsourced schedulers. When I walked in for my appointment, the waiting area felt like the waiting area of a spa or massage facility; it was so calming and tranquil. Dr. Hunt herself was phenomenal, explaining everything carefully and asking thoughtful questions. She had a medical student working with her who was clearly getting great guidance and mentorship from Dr. Hunt. Talking with both of them during my appointment made me feel even more comfortable and even more trusting of them. I will recommend this practice to everyone who asks!

Dr. Erin Hunt has been a blessing on so many levels. She is always available, responsive, and compassionate. When I first called her for an appointment, I was pleasantly surprised when she answered the phone herself--what a refreshing change from the normal, distanced, indirect way doctors typically communicate with patients. Dr. Hunt has been able to answer questions, write referrals, and refill prescriptions via text. Her thoughtfulness and warmth extend beyond office visits. She even gave me a handmade mask at the onset of COVID, and has sent personalized greeting cards to my family for the holidays. I have experienced difficulty navigating health insurance coverage and referrals, but Dr. Hunt has gone above and beyond to help me connect with other physicians with whom I feel comfortable, and has been willing to speak even with me, even on weekends and her "off-days" in order to book necessary appointments and procedures with specialists of my choice. She is truly a blessing to the Honolulu community and I highly recommend her. Thank you, Dr. Hunt!

Dr Erin Hunt, I highly recommend! I have two daughters and was looking for a family practitioner. On our first visit she was great with involving my daughters in taking down their vital signs and really empowering them to take ownership of their health. I have some issues that I felt were not addressed fully by my prior Dr but Dr Hunt was willing to refer me to a specific special that she had heard good things about and the outcome was far more comforting than before. She is quite responsive. If she doesn’t answer her phone herself she gets back to me right away. And once she even called to double check that I was able to get and start taking some medications. She is such a blessing to me and I have so much confidence and peace of mind that Dr Hunt will be able to help problem solve or find someone who can be more helpful. She is understanding and efficient with zero judgement. She has created such a safe place for my daughters and myself to stay healthy in these crazy times.

We highly recommend Dr. Erin Hunt and Healing Tides Primary Care. Dr. Hunt is incredibly responsive, thorough, professional and punctual. The direct interactions from the minute you call to make an appointment to walking out of the office after a visit is something you don't get anywhere else. The thoughtful questionnaire you receive as a new patient is the beginning of a positive partnership when it comes to your health. You can tell Dr. Hunt considers the whole person and wants to play an active role alongside you. This kind of comprehensive care as a patient helps you feel well-cared and valued. Follow-ups, referrals, prescription refills and other services are done right away too. Dr. Erin Hunt accepts many insurances and will work with you to ensure you get the best care possible. Dr. Hunt was my PCP for the last two years. The only reason I'm no longer seeing her is I had to move, but I don't think I will ever find such a compassionate and caring doctor. I really appreciate that her hours were Tues-Sat, so I could be seen outside of my work hours. Whenever I had a question she always responded timely via the portal, and if I ever wanted labs I could email her and get them ordered within a day. I have seen a lot of doctors who don't listen as well as they should, but Dr. Hunt took every single one of my (many) concerns seriously. Oh, and the person at the front desk, Jade, is very sweet and nice to talk to while you wait (normally only 5 minutes, and that's because I'm early) for your appointment :)

Dr. Hunt is the most wonderful doctor. I've been fortunate to have had many nice and caring doctors, but Dr. Hunt is the best. She is very calming, patient and very knowledgeable; her front office/staff is friendly and inviting. I'm so glad to have Dr. Hunt as my PCP and recommend her highly.

I'm so grateful I found Dr.Hunt. Her calm, kind, confident deminer makes me feel the most comfortable I've ever been with a doctor. Comfortable enough in fact to come out to her and have an open, non judgemental conversation about me starting Testosterone (which I have since.). I had to have surgery recently to remove my gallbladder and I was nervous. Dr. Hunt was there for me answering my questions and easing my mind. Her care is the best I've ever had. 100/10 I do recommend her. Also her office is a very calm environment. See pictures attached.
